From the Bottom to the Top, Dance in The Dirty South
For two days only, MCA Denver and Presenting Denver will share “From the Bottom to the Top, Dance in The Dirty South,” a dance program that will explore each floor of MCA Denver’s exhibition The Dirty South: Contemporary Art, Material Culture, and the Sonic Impulse. Five choreographers, dance artists, and dance companies will take over the space, modifying dance through the use of alternative space, and exploring and responding to specific works on view. Each artist will explore a unique space around the museum, and will build a dance that is responsive to MCA Denver’s Fries Building and vision of the exhibition. Artists will present a five minute dance work that will be performed multiple times for groups of audiences touring the MCA Denver. Purchasing this ticket includes admission to the museum - a separate ticket does not need to be purchased.
